Recommend Aluminum Polish?
«

Anyone recommend an aluminum polish so I can polish up the used Fujita intake I just bought. Looking for something I can pick up at the store. Also, what would be the best method to actually polish it? Just buff it in with a MF towel?

I use the mothers one available at wal mart. Hand applied and removed because an intake is tough to machine polish.

It should be fine, just make sure you get it all off before running the car. I'm not sure what it would do with all that heat.

I've always had great results with Blue Magic. You can pick it up at Auto Zone or probably any other auto parts store.

My two favorite metal polishes are the Optimum Metal Polish and the P21S Finish Restorer. They seem to have the deepest cleaning power which helps create the best shine.

Just thought I would let yall know I picked up some mothers and went to town on the CAI. I first buffed it in using a terry cloth, wiped it off with a terry cloth, and then buffed it to a shine with a MF towel. I did this process twice and got a very nice result. This processing didn't take out all the fine scratches (unfortunately), I'm thinking that would required an orbital polisher, but it was good enough for me
