Hey guys I need some help figuring this out. I was driving to work this morning and for some reason whenever the car would switch gears it would rev past the usual rpm to switch and then just randomly kick in at a high rpm. From what I can tell this happened to basically 1st, 2nd and I believe 3rd gear, but is more noticeable if I'm at a dead stop and begin to press on the gas again as it seems its having trouble switching gears.
My first assumption is transmission fluid, but I just got an oil change yesterday at Valvoline and I saw them check my tranny fluid (then again my car wasn't on). He never said anything about it so I assumed it was ok. I'm at work now so I have no time to check for myself until later.
EDIT: IT DOESN'T DO IT ALL THE TIME
EDIT 2: I almost didn't make it home today, God it was so bad. The tranny fluid is fine btw. I spoke with a mechanic and he test drove my car and said that the tranny sounds fine because it does shift at a low rpm. He said it could be the overdrive since it goes crazy at a higher rpm. I left him my car and he'll check it out tomorrow. Anyone have ideas? Vtec Solenoid possible?
That my friend is run flat damaged. This meaning, you ran on your tire flat for some time, and the sidewall is damaged due to being ran flat. The indication of that you had to put air in your tires every 3-4 days states that you had a puncture somewhere in the tire. I see this on a daily basis. An alignment or struts/shocks won't cause a wear on the sidewall of the tire. An alignment and shocks/struts will cause wear on the edge of the tire.
In that case lesson learned the hard way and FML , thanks for the input though
Sup guys I have no idea if this is even the right place to put it lol. Anyway as some of you may no I put the 09 honda accord rims on my car (P225/50 R17). Replacing my stock the old 03 16" rims. Iv'e had the new tires on since July, and just recently the last 2 months I have been needing to put air in the rear passenger tire every 3-4 days. I didn't get around to looking at it since I was busy with school, and work. Today I noticed I had a total flat and you could hear the air escape when filling it up. So I took the tire off and put on my temp. Looking at the tire this is what I found all along the inner area of the tire. Now I honesty don't know if it is the shocks that would do that, or could it be that I needed an alignment? I checked my other tires and they were fine.
We still here... just nobody post much anymore! Damn fucker'z lolz Anyways yo Ant where the fuck you been? Still have the car... any new mods?
just been busy with work, school, n going out lol. So far I just put 2008 accord sedan oem rims on the car, thats about it. In about a week or two I'm going to go back my tints redone since their fading like crazy. Nothing crazy I'll post new pictures in a week lol.
ok its all good now lol. Bought the part, changed it in like 10mins. I didn't realize i needed to turn it to lock the switch, but Everything is good so far Thanks guys, mike u can go ahead and lock the thread
The reason I referred you to the other thread is because its not always the switch! It is 7 though
Ya I no, I just checked the fuse and its finecrazy thing though I walked into my car and I was able to move the shifter witout overiding n my brake lights r now working
Go to the dealer and buy a new cruise control switch for the brake pedal.. That will take care of the problem of being stuck onin park and brake lights..this was one of my first problems I had after I got my accord.. Look for the switch right behind the brake pedal and replace it..it shoul'nt take you more than 20 mins to replace.
He is never on... when we were all at Gen7accord.net the squad leader was a guy named Mike but when we transfered to over here he gave up on forums so it was left for either me or Piero. Piero doesn't get on much either lolz so somehow it ended up on me!U
Dam I remember mike he had a cleeeeeeannn blue accord lol, anyway wats going on NYC hvent been on in ages
Sup guys haven't been on in awhile, some crazy shit just happened to my car need help. I have an automatic, when I press on the brake to take the car out of park and into drive or reverse it wouldn't move. Usually you hear a click tat basically tells you the latch unhooked n your able to move the car out of park, but no click. So I had to use the override to put it into drive. Also my brake light aren't working, when I press on the brake the lights don't light up. The lights are on when my headlights are on. Would like some feedback, and I'm thinking maybe its a fuse. Ill take a closer look tomorrow since its downpouring outside, thanks!
I've been looking for 2010 accord sedan tires and rims on craigslist for god knows how long. I came across a guy who's selling the full set for $450. I emailed him asking how much tread is left and he told me "tread depth is 7/32nds". Is that good? BTW Tires are michellins 225/50/17.
