Any other bicyclists in here?  I'm thinking about doin the Five Boros of NYC ride again this year.  42 miles of carless streets through the five's Boros of NYC, it was awesome last year.

That sounds pretty cool. If I were anywhere near New York I would but I would have to get in a lot better shape. I haven't rode in a while.

Honestly I didn't ride at all for like a month before it and I was fine, a lot of bottle necking last year but they are taking precautions on that and steps to prevent it this year.   Details was a good time and it's not a race,  just a casual ride thru the city streets( pass by ground zero, thru central park, across a couple bridges, all over) with 30,000+ other riders. Lol

Damn.  I hit 200k in July of 2010.

Any other bicyclists in here?  I'm thinking about doin the Five Boros of NYC ride again this year.

I used to ride when I lived in Boston.  I need to get a new bike now.  I think that's on my list of stuff to get this spring.  I'll do the NYC ride next year.

so last night i got into an accident... an asshole was following and tailgating for a few miles, at a red light started to pull out my phone to call the cops (had the misses, and step-son) light turned green, guy started revving,  girl tapped my arm, dropped the phone, started to drive went about 15, went into the right lane from the middle on a 3 lane road, tried to grab the phone, pressed brake by accident, slowed down to like 10, i hear peeling,  then boom.... asshole got into the right lane and slammed into me... got out the car to pull this asshole out of his car, to find out it was the girl's baby daddy... guy has been harassing her on the phone, he's been calling, sending her texts at all different times, like 1-3am. Showin up to her job, had a chat with the guy over the phone 2 days ago, told him he needed to stop harassing my girl, or authorities would get involved... needless to say, nearly killed the guy when I saw it was him, broke his window and was already pulling him out, when my girl grabbed me, yelled to stop, and think of Jayden, (her son, kid loves me more than his dead beat father) I let go and told him not to get out of the car until the cops came... they immediately showed up, thank god. guy over 1.5k in tickets and got arrested.. when the police found out i was military, and so recent from coming back from a deployment, they were cool as hell, they were prior military as well... when they found out the full story of what's been happening, and how I stopped, they said "we'll look away for a minute, do what you need to, we didnt see anything, any injuries were from the accident since the dumbass wasnt wearing his seatbelt", his nonstop yelling and calling my girl and me names didnt help his cause...... as bad I wanted to beat the living daylights out of the guy, the kid was crying and yelling for me to pick him up... I just told the guy i hope he was happy with what he caused, he could have killed or seriously hurt his kid or someone else, that I hope he gets raped every night for the many years he is going to spend in jail..guy was a habitual drug user, he would physically abuse my girl, and his son, guy has a long record , and this should put him away for a long time, at least thats what the police said.

Shit man! Glad to hear you guys are ok. Way to be the bigger man in that situation also, it sucks you got hit but your all ok and that moron is behind bars now so that's deff some positive news.
