I'd be skeptical about the temp position as well. But if you're confident in your abilities and can prove that you're worth it, then your chances of making it permanent are much higher.. At my company I've noticed that the majority of Temps get hired full time after awhile. The problem is, being a temp, you don't generally get benefits like health/dental coverage.. I'd see what they have to offer at least. It's worth a shot, but just be careful with your choice.. in this economy it's better to have a solid job at less pay than it is to have a job that could fire you whenever they feel like it at higher pay.

I agree with Brian. That's the main reason why I'm sticking around at my current job. Been here for almost 7 years, but I want to leave for more money. This economy sucks.

Why am I always too damn late to post something and not have to agree with it? Damnit all to hell. Anyway, like the others said, the temp thing would worry me as well. If it wasn't for the fact that I have a sure thing right now with bullshit politics, I would have taken the early separation and been gone from the military after I was done out here. Hell, were I single with no kids, I would've left a long time ago despite the shitty economy.
