I'll pipe in here. I agree with Big Country in that Florida is a completely different world in relation to the states around it. However, geographically, that doesn't matter. Mississippi is far less country than Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, or pretty much any other "southern state" and it geographically one of the southern most states. It probably has one of the worst connotations as far as being country though. No offense Mike, but you haven't seen country until you have been in the TN hills. I swear half of them can not read and write and don't wear shoes. Georgia isn't really country either... Alabama is awful except for the Mobile area. Those are some of the trashiest people I have ever seen. The whole being rude thing is everywhere. There are so many damn rude people in Tupelo, Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, Jackson and other larger cities in the south it is ridiculous. In Tupelo, it's pretty much if you don't know me then fuck off.

I'll have to see if Bill is correct about Alabama as I'll be flying down to visit my family next friday.  From what I've heard, Huntsville is actually really nice.

Bill, the "hills" are just a short drive from the twin I grew up in. The mountain we use to ride on was about the way you are referring to. My uncle has a farm in Grundy county, my good friend got his law enforcement start in Grundy county. His first night on patrol(at the age of 18) people shot the windows out of his patrol car with a 30-06. A month later, with deputies inside, someone threw two lit half sticks of dynamite in their station and burned their patrol cars to the ground. Grundy county is also on one of the mountains that surrounds Chattanooga and making us the "TN valley"
