The Subies have shit for rear leg room unless a small child is back there. I don't know about DD. A buddy of mine at my last unit had some issues with his but they were minor.

What exactly are you going for?  Something that you can mod the shit out of or something that's a daily driver?  I like both cars.  The white WRX looks good when it's dropped.  The leg room in the back seat is tight though and if I remember correctly the back seat doesn't fold down.  The TL is also a nice looking vehicle, it's definitely larger, which is what you're looking for.  At least you know with the WRX you'll have a chance to drive in the snow.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you just upgrade the turbo on a WRX and make it into an STI?  It's the same 2.5L ain't it?  Granted suspension parts would be different as well and the wider fenders.  On second thought, that's a lot of changing out.  Dude just get the "Camero" for $15K.

The engines are different. The STi is a 2.0 IIRC. There's quite a bit of differences between the two. That was one of the bigger differences I could remember.

Are you sure?  I think the US Spec STI's were 2.5L.

 I'mNot interested in modding the hell out of it, looking back at pics, wrx is small...TL is perfect size, but its an auto. Im at least going to test drive it

Engine

The 02-05 WRX comes equipped with a 2.0 liter 227 horsepower engine. The 06-07 WRX comes with a 2.5 liter 230hp engine. Overall both the engines act very similar, you will begin to see differences between the two when heavily modifying, but for this articles purposes we will call them the same power. Both of the engines are equipped with a small td04 turbo.

The STi comes with 2.5 liter 300hp engine. The internals of the STi engine are much nicer than the internals of the WRX engine. The STi can push much more boost, without having to worry about blowing the engine. The STi also comes equipped with a larger vf39 turbo
