I really don't see the point of iPod touch's. $300 for an iPhone without the phone part. Makes no sense to me. Yeah it plays the same games and plays music but the storage space is crap. I'd much rather have an iPod classic and have that amount of storage space so when its full, I can leave it permanently plugged into my car (which is what I'm doing).

For me, the reasons I bought it was because, it plays music, video, has a pretty nice display, has apps, plays games, etc.  I don't need 160GB of storage space for music.  I bought the 32GB version because I think it would be enough for music, apps, etc.

Apple also claims a 40hr battery life for music playing and 7hr battery life with video.  I'm sure I could get close to 40 hr with the ultimate in battery saving measures, i.e. bluetooth and wireless off, screen dims after a minute, etc.

Having it permanently plugged into my car isn't feasible for me.  I want something to provide me entertainment while I'm traveling.  At the same time, it's something I can plug into my car.  But not every airplane has in-cabin entertainment.

That being said, it's still in the box unopened lol..

On a side note, I had been checking out Craigslist for a while trying to pick up a new 3rd gen iPod Touch from the people trying to let them go from the student special.  People around here still want a good amount for them, and I thought about the new hardware features of the 4th gen, so I went with a 4th gen.

That's why I pointed out the new banner to Jeremy.  There is a restriction on sig sizes now since people keep creating sigs that are way too big.  I also use a 1st Gen iPod touch for travel since it's less cumbersome than my laptop.  The fact that it has wifi was also a great feature that I used frequently before I got a smart phone.  I still use it on a regular basis, since I use a lot of the apps for different reasons.
