It's possible, but I hear Ford doesnt even know how to fix it yet. How long has the Fusion been in production? 4 years?
I'm pretty sure that transmission has only been used since last year. My sister drives an 05 and it's a 5AT

V6 has always used 6 spd...is hers a 4?
Fusion was available in S, SE, and SEL trims. The base engine was the 160 hp (119 kW) Mazda-designed 2.3 L Duratec 23 I4, paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. SE and SEL models were available with a 221 hp (165 kW) 3.0 L Duratec 30

Didn't they just start the fusion 6 speed? I mean of course its gonna have problems, you go from using a 5speed auto to a new 6 speed auto, the first few runs of that trans is going to have issues

I guess he has money to burn. I'd rather waste my money on parts that actually make my car faster, hookers, and drugs. Fucking amateurs. :

It is a V6 with a 5 speed Jer. Your information must only pertain to certian model years. The is a newer transmission, and they use it in alot more than the fusion.

Ah, ok. Well, I copied this off Edmunds regarding an 06 Fusion V6.
Ford Fusion power comes from either a 2.3-liter, 160-horsepower four-cylinder or a 3.0-liter, 221-hp V6. The smaller engine is hooked to a standard five-speed manual with a five-speed automatic optional,
but the V6 can only be had with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The V6 does include dual exhaust pipes, and both engines feature four-valve-per-cylinder heads and 150,000-mile tune up intervals.

Just got to the bottom of that the owners manual list it as a 5sp with over drive. The transmission issue that you speak of seems to only pertain to the early production 2010 Fusion/Escape. It's a valve body issue from what I have read.

I prefer my "foreign" car made in America over an "American" car made in Mexico/Canada/China. I don't care where the money goes. None of it ends up in my pocket.
