Thanks guys.  i'm planning on sending her ass on a scavenger hunt, make her work for it!  it starts at my apartment (inviting her over but not actually being there) then make her way through my apartment, to head on to her parents house where they'll have a clue or two for her, and then back to her college apartment where her roomies will have the final clues, which will send her to me at a secluded location.  I've still got a lot to do to make that happen though.  I have to make all the puzzles and clue cards up get some balloons made with puzzle pieces in them, hopefully I'll have time this week.. damn my creative side..

hmm.. debating if i should get a

1. new router with a USB port and install DD-WRT to enable usb storage and print server
2. Airport Extreme

The Airport Extreme would make setup much easier, but I love DD-WRT.

Anyone here have an Airport Extreme? I have some questions.

Essentially, end goal is to have a USB printer on the LAN so I can print wirelessly.  I could use Printer Sharing but I don't want to leave a computer always on.

Its also better. We couldn't find a router that could cover our entire house except the Airport Extreme that was cheaper than it. I would rather pay more, get more features and have easier set up.

Does it provide wireless security by MAC filter? I'll look this up since I don't expect you to know, but since it does file sharing using Bonjour, do you know if Bonjour translates it essentially so a USB hard drive would be seen as a CIFS share?  I'm more concerned about wireless security..

Although, honestly, I'm leaning towards a Linksys E3000 because of the possibility of installing DD-WRT on it.  It's kindof pricey too though
