More money in the Big cities. The commute from Jacksonville to Saint Augustine isn't that bad. I've driven that a couple of times while I was down there on business. I'm struggling with a decision right now.. GRRRRR.....

City commuting sucks Bill. I drive 15 miles one way right now and it takes me 30-45min. My old job I commuted to MS and drove 45 miles one way and that only took me 30-40min all interstate = no sitting in traffic...I hate sitting in traffic.  Flippa! Flippa!

Living in a city is fun, but it gets old quick.  I guess it all depends on your preference and what you want.  I lived in Boston for a few years when I was in school.  It was fun at first because I only had school and didn't have a car.  I just rode a bike year round and used public transportation.  When I started getting busier with more responsibilities from having 2 jobs, classes, and a relationship, it was more and more difficult to get around and own a vehicle.  Public transportation sucked if you wanted to be on time for something important and it was very time consuming and inconvenient.  The other big thing was the expense.  Living in Boston is really expensive and if you want to save money you would either live in a bad neighborhood, or have a very small place.  I opted to move away from the city since that was a little more convenient.  Don't get me wrong, I love going into the city and all the great things about it, but the inconveniences of living and commuting in the city aren't worth it to me.
