I'm not sure a Del Slow would be a great winter car, but definitely a lot of fun to have.

Get an older jeep Cherokee. My buddy Steven has one that we call the anti-DUI mobile. It's been a trooper over the years.

Speaking of him, I just found it the other day that he now works for Proline Race engines... Pretty fucking badass!

My best car in the snow was the '00 SI. Good torque to weight ratio.

A buddy of mine had an '07 Si and said it was complete garbage in the snow.  So he traded it in on a 328xi, makes sense since he lives in Pittsburgh.  Then he complained about the costs of havin a beamer (car payment, maintenance, upgrades, etc).  So he traded in his 328xi on a Focus ST.  We is dumb because the whole reason he got the 328xi was because the Si was horrible in the snow.  So now he traded in his AWD car for a Turbo FWD car... that really makes sense.

Yeah, an 07 SI is significantly worst in the snow. More power and increase weight than '00. B series vs k-series motors. Even the '07 base civics are crap in the snow.

Of course a beater suv is the best option or even a pickup 4x4

Mine did pretty great in the little bit of snow we had here. But we don't get anything compared to you Yankees.

It's really nice to be in a job that shows appreciation for hard work. My supervisors just pulled me to the office to tell me that I'm doing exceptionally well and will be the only person from my group of new people who are going to get to continue training and will be fully signed off as a radio dispatcher just before my wedding. They're even working my training around my wedding dates. Being fully signed off on the radio means I'm out of probation and get a decent pay raise.
