The hellcat is pretty sweet, but newer mopars are junk when it comes to quality.

I was thinking a c4 vette would be a fun car with a LS or a big block and a twin turbo set up making around 2000 hp.

I'd get a newer GTO.  A C5 is nice, but I would rather have a C4 for some reason.

Nah. I'm not as concerned about getting respect or recognition. I just want to get away from the immaturity common among imports and euros (read VW).

I hear that. There will be immaturity everywhere, but I think there is less of it in the domestic scene.

unfortunately, as the price of certain vehicles drop, the age of the audience that can afford to buy them drops as well - immaturity always takes hold. but yeah i agree, moving to the american muscle scene is definitely an older more mature demographic.

Don't get me wrong though. When I go to cars and coffee with Scoot, I usually have a lot of older guys come up to me and start talking to me about how they had an old Civic back in the day. I like going to those meets because there are less jackasses, but there are still a few. There's a local guy with a CTS-V and always rolls in with his exhaust dumps open, revving the throttle and basically acting like "look at me everyone". Then when he doesn't get the attention that he wants, he leaves.

cars and coffee down here is actually pretty great, too.  had some really beautiful classics including a one off shelby..  that is until the new gen camaro kids rolled up.. with subs blaring and engines revving.  the OG's there were noticeably pissed.
