So while out and about today I started looking at engagement rings. None of the sales people could quite understand when I told them, "I don't care about your commission, a full carat is too dam big"

Full carat is just about right. Anything over a carat is too damn big.

Well, Lori is pretty small so a half a carat is goign to be just about right. I think I am going to have a ring made for her with a center princess cut diamond and two of her birthstone on each side

Personally I wouldn't get anything under a carat. Looks too small to me. You want something that she can brag to all her friends and family about. You only do it once bro (hopefully!), so don't skimp out.

I think I either have 1/4 or 1/2 carat. I don't like jewelry either and could care less about how big my friend's rocks are. It's big enough to have a presence on my finger but not be overwhelming.

Went to IFO in Columbus to watch some drag racing and auto x. Saw a handful of CM's there. Some of them were pretty fucking ugly.
