So a week or two ago my District Manager said there would be a General Manager position in a brand new store coming up in August/September and that he had me in mind as the front runner for the position. Now yesterday I talked to him again and he said the store down the street from my house (less than a mile) is gonna need a new General Manager, probably in the next month or so. Only competition would be the Assistant at the store and he's not even sure if she's interested in the position. Good thing is even if she wants it and gets it, she'll need an Assistant, so I could stay in the position I'm in, just without the half hour commute, until he can get me into my own store. Makin moves fellas, and I'm pretty psyched.

Oh no you misunderstand. People came in to the other store knowing you could discount and would hassle you for their discount. In most cases demanding it like the ungrateful little pieces of shit that they are, instead of requesting it like they should. Shit used to burn me up and then it would burn them up because I'd refuse to give it to them. Sometimes I even went as far as to tell them "Not until you ask nicely." Allowing myself to be the sole judge of it their request was "nice" enough.
