The average theatres charge around me is $9-10 (regular movie, non 3D/IMAX).  The really nice theatre (Rave Motion Pictures) is $11.  I opt to spend the extra dollar for the theatre leagues ahead of the rest.

I bought 6 tickets to fast & furious 6 for the price of 5 on fandango. Still came out to $77.

average tickets here are around $4.50 a pop, cheapest would be around $3. imax comes up to around $9. some movie houses also give out free parking passes if you pop out a loyalty card/..

In Orlando it's about $11 for a standard ticket and upwards of $17-19 for an IMAX ticket. I remember when I was a kid and the movie tickets were like $6 or less. Fucking ridiculous.

We used to have Regal cinemas out here,  they're cheapest seats were 2.5 when i was a kid. As long as you didn't mind your shoes sticking to the floor...
