I applied for a city job over the weekend. I automatically got a response back saying that they get 100's of applications and to not expect a response back.

Wow you get more than I do...my applications fall into the abyss...I want to put "Goofy brunette with big boobs" under qualifications, just to see if anyone is actually reading my resume..

I hope you get the job, I heard city/gov jobs pay well Smiley

If it's a small business I send an email directly to them checking in, if it's a big corporation I figure they weren't interested. That's how we do it at our place, if you don't hear anything we weren't interested, I don't agree with it.

The only part that bugged me, was that I couldn't get anything back for my student loan payments. Because my husband and I are filling married, but separately. Bummer...
