The lease is vague, it says something like...the renter is responsible for the upkeep of the outside of the house...our heater tank is outside, they're saying it's included...

Upkeep means mowing the lawn and things like that. Taking care of maintenance on the heater is not your responsibility.

That's maintenance not upkeep. If the roof is leaking would you have to fix it too? Tell them to EAD!!

I agree with all you guys, but we already paid and short of giving them a politically correct earful, I don't know what else we can do, the letter said if we didn't comply we'd be in violation of our lease...assholes, Rob said the guy vacuumed out the dust and looked everything over, that's it, we could have done that! I'm ready to move into my mother-in-law's trailer at this point! (Not red neck trailer- nice trailer)
