Hahaha.  There's always that one person in the family that's a complete douchebag/losery/pain in the ass.  If you don't know who it is, it's probably you.  In my case, it's my brother.  He always has an excuse for why he doesn't have a job and always argues about everything.

I don't enjoy many holidays because of it. I hate drama I think next year I'm just going away for the holidays.

I just keep my mouth shut and avoid eye contact.  I've found that I don't engage my brother, he eventually loses steam and shuts up.  I'm glad I got to see my family, but I'm also glad to be home now.  New Years should be a quiet evening for me.  I'm not big on the partying.

Yes...i avoid eye contact also, and I don't ask "how are you doing?" anymore, i'm glad to be home also, we spend New Years with friends, so i'm not worried

My mom bought her husband a box of Q-Tips, because he goes through a box a day, i thought he was going to lose it lol

This was a rather enjoyable Christmas for us. No having to go over to multiple houses to appease family members. After my mom and dad split a while back, its like getting pulled in multiple directions just to make people happy. Fuck that noise. I'm actually glad we moved away so that we wouldn't have to deal with that shit. I do have family members that I miss and love to see but the other bullshit ruins that.

Like I said in a previous post, I'm just glad I was able to spend time with my boys just fucking off at home. That in itself is enough for me and I'm happy.

Got a letter from our landlord saying that we had to pay to have our heater professionally cleaned, and they wanted proof it was done by Dec 31st! And it's 75 bucks! We've never had to do this before merry xmas from the landlord, can't wait to move out ;(

WTF!  Maintenance should be done by the leasing company, not the lessee.

Correct. Tell the landlord to go pound sand. Its his responsibility to maintain his own property. Not yours.
