Yup. All because the person that was originally on duty is a single mom that didn't have a sitter to watch the kid until tomorrow. Piss poor planning on her part. Its okay. She'll take one of my other upcoming duty days. Serves her right for being a ditz.

Shit is fucked up here.  Woke up and trees are down everywhere, power is out all over, GFs car had a large branch land on it last night (just some dents and dings to the roof thank god) and our neighbors fence was taken out and landed where I usually park my car... Talk about lucky, I parked in the driveway.

Went in to work this mornin to assess the damage and DM wanted us to work... Theres no phones and no power, you cant see a god damned thing in the store.  So we all went home and ive been swingin by every couple hours to check on the place, since I live the closest.

But other than that me and mine are all safe.  Hope everybody else is okay out there.  Be safe.

And its crazy to think, its no longer classified as a hurricane..  it could have been a lot worse if it landed as a category 3 like they were predicting..
