I went with 18x8 45mm offset Enkei Tenjin. Tires are 225/45R18 Continental ExtremeContact DW. I could have gone with a 235/45R18, but I want the extra 7mm of sidewall for the crappy New England roads. I have a Neuspeed SuperCup kit with race springs, which is 2.25f 1.75r. I only slightly rub on big dips.
I used this for comparing offsets and tire diameters.

I am now wondering whether I should switch my tires for another brand or type to get better fuel economy.
I am getting about 20MPG from the current tires (nearly 12 L/100km) whereas I was getting 25MPG (9.5 L/100km) with my winter tires, and previous Summer tires if I recall. City mileage, 4 cylinder. Pretty bad imo
These RE760 tires are narrower but 27lb whereas my old tires were 24lb I believe.
Thinking about Continental DWS or Hankook V12

^^ Damn, 20 MPG for a i4 doesn't seem good at all. I average 29-31 with a heavy foot. I did have about 25-26 MPG when I had a square 19x10 with 265/30/19 tires setup. They weighed a ton, literally.

A ton of shit, definitely. Paired well with the POS DD.

Exactly man! My wheels are so light, but comon this is ridiculous. My baseline mileage is worse though must need some maintenance. But a instant 25% drop is significant and because of the tires. Also noticing handling isn't great

This seems to be the most appropriate thread to ask this.
So as some of you know, I got a set of Work Emotion CR Kai 17" wheels in a staggered setup (from a kid with a supra). Exact setup is 17x8 235/45 in front & 17x9 255/40 in the rear. I was expecting some understeer from the setup, but it seems to have gotten worst, maybe it's all in my head, so I put back my old setup back on. The options i'm looking at now are:
1)Buying 235/45 tires on the rear and spacers up front to get the offsets the same
2)Buying a pair of rims, either for the front or the back and making it all the same with matching tires
3)Just sell them and get a set of the Drag replicas in size 18. I know this is frowned upon, but i've been running Drag wheels for the last 6+ yrs.
Thoughts or other options I should consider?

Could buy another staggered set up and sell the extra set. Buying 2 Work wheels will be expensive.

Put them on the right way with the wider wheels up front.

Another staggered setup is worth the consideration if i come across one, tho it's like looking for a needle in a box of needles.
Your right, 2 wheels is like buying another set of cheaper wheels. Maybe even with tires.

I'm gonna try it. I just remember cornering sucked the last time i ran my old setup without spacers in the rear and just the ones up front.

So ive been searching for an answer to a question i had, but have yet to find one. My stock tire size is 205/60/16. If i upgrade to 17" acura tl wheels with a tire size of 235/55/17, I will have a little bit of a speedometer error. Will this affect the odometer as well? Or should i just put on a tire size of 235/50/17? Will the extra sidewall affect ride quality that much?

Best thing to do is to compare tire diameters and find a set of tires that are the same diameter as your 205/60/16's for your TL wheels.
Running different size tires will affect your speedometer and it will also affect your odometer.

Yes the tire size will affect the speed and odometer,
the correct size to have the same diameter as oem would be 245/45R17

There are many calculators online for this
