Title: lug holes too big for studs?
Post by: pbplayer257 on July 02, 2012, 09:35:22 PM
I have an 05 coupe. So i just got a new set of rims. The bolt pattern is 5x 114.3, same as stock rims, i already got hub adapters, so there is no movement in the hub, but the lug nut holes are much bigger than the ones on the stock rims, which leads me to believe the lugs will come loose while driving. Is there some sort of lug nut hole adapter out there? because i dont want to put the wheels on and have them fly off while driving. Anyone have this problem before?

i forgot to take a pic, i just had the rim on there about an hour ago. I'm thinking i need the different lug nuts. The wheels are from a mitsubishi eclipse, ill take a pic tomorrow.

You need different lug nuts. Honda uses a ball seat lug nut. Mitsubishi uses a MAG flat lug nut. You will need either Mitsubishi or Toyota MAG flat lug nuts to safely run those rims on your car.
