Don't let your final goal discourage you.  You've lost 5 lbs so far, and that's an awesome accomplishment.  And don't focus too much on the number on the scale.  It's one way to measure, but you could lose inches while maintaining the same weight.

Country, I'm planning to hit the gym hard today too.  I wanted to go yesterday, but didn't end up making it.

Thanks for the kind words Smiley I know I'll get there, this time of year there's a lot going on, I kinda lose my appetite a little. Plus my husband has play rehearsal 3 times a week so I can kick my ass on those nights! Cheesy I don't own a scale, I don't want one lol

Nelson, fitness can be fun! Like this week I'm going to take my dog with me when I go for a run. And I'll take her to the park to play then run some more

OK fitness gurus.  What would be your suggestions for adding muscle mass to a 6'-0" 156lb frame?  Starting with cardio and light weight lifting (more circuit training, high reps, low weight) to get my muscles accustom to endurance training; then plan to add more weight and do heavy lifting.   I currently do not take any supplements, not plan to do so.  I eat relatively healthy, but my metabolism somewhat hinders by ability to maintain good weight.  At one point I was about 170 lb (and in pretty good shape with very low body fat (5%)), but I think my "natural weight" is the high 150lb area.  I would love to have the natural weight at 170 lb.  I am by no means "skinny"; I prefer the term "lean"  Grin...

Any advice would be much appreciated.
